Patient Flow Assistant

United Health Services is seeking Patient Flow Assistant to join our teams at UHS Wilson Medical Center. Employees who regularly work at least 24 hours per week are eligible for benefits.

Locations: UHS Wilson Medical Center
Shifts: Nights/ 12 hrs- 8 PM – 8 AM
Hours per week: 24 hrs
Salary: $20.00 - $27.00/hour, depending on experience

Patient Flow Assistant Position Overview

Serves as a liaison between our hospital, transferring hospitals and physicians. They will work in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor and Bed Census Management RN to ensure transferred patients are placed on correct services, level of care and bed assignment to meet the patient needs.

Patient Flow Assistant Responsibilities and Expectations

• Patient flow is the movement of patients through a healthcare facility. It involves the medical care, physical resources, and internal systems needed to get patients from the point of admission to the point of discharge while maintaining quality and patient/provider satisfaction Help patients walk with canes, walkers, or other devices and lift, transport, and move patients using appropriate techniques
• Follow patient rounding standards to ensure a comfortable, safe environment for patients
• Treat all patients, family, and other visitors with respect and compassion
• Demonstrate commitment to United Health Services’ organizational Values of Compassion, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation

Position Qualifications

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma, 1 year experience working in a healthcare related field.

• Associates Degree
