  • Position Overview
    • The ED Scribe works to facilitate patient flow through the Emergency Department, ensuring accurate and complete medical records for each patient. Assists the physician by accompanying him/her during the medical history and exam, recording details on the electronic medical record (EMR) and coordinating department resources regarding tests, orders, radiology and results. Tracks orders for each patient, looks up previous records, and notifies physician of the results.
  • Position Requirements
    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • High School Graduate or equivalent
        • Experience with Medical Terminology in a Medical Setting
      • Preferred:
        • Experience with Basic Human Anatomy, Charting Basics and Coding Guidelines
