  • Position Overview
    • The Gradate Nurse on this Medical Surgical Unit protects, promotes and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury and alleviation of suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The Graduate Nurse is responsible and accountable for the compliance of all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital and Nursing Policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses and Bill of Patient Rights. The GN promotes caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.
  • Position Requirements
    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      • Preferred:
        • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
        • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

    • License/Certification
      • Minimum Required:
        • Current New York State Registered Nurse License, a Limited Permit or the ability to practice within the 90 day grace period allowed by NYS guidelines.
        • CPR certification within three months of hire.
      • Preferred:
        • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty. ACLS
