  • Position Overview
    • The Epic Project Director is responsible for the Epic implementation project and assures that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and incorporates the right resources and subject matter experts. Provides high-level strategic guidance, leadership around Epic project expectations, risks, timelines, and program decisions.
  • Position Requirements
    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related healthcare field, required.
        • Minimum of eight (8) years related healthcare IT experience including four (4) years of healthcare IT project management experience, required.
        • Experience directing and managing complex systems or implementations for large, academic medical centers and integrated delivery networks (IDN).
        • Must have managed capital (P&L) expense budgets.
      • Preferred:
        • Master's Degree
        • Epic experience
        • Clinical background and/or hospital operations experience is a plus.

    • License/Certification
      • Minimum Required:
        • Current Epic certification(s) or
        • must be willing to travel for training and achieve certification within 90 days of completion of training at Epic within one of the core applications of job responsibility.
      • Preferred:
        • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or equivalent certification preferred.
