United Health Services Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a full-time Provider Contract Specialist to perform a variety of activities associated with provider employment contract preparation, monitoring, and compliance work and has oversight of multiple, concurrent employment agreements and performs related work as required.

The Provider Contract Specialist will, under the direction of the Sr. Director of Physician and Post-Acute-Care Financial Services, provide contract services to the United Health Services System specific to Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. This position facilitates the preparation, negotiation and execution of contractual agreements and would be responsible for the routing of contracts and documents, maintaining records of contract activity for benchmark purposes and works to improve efficiencies, as well as collaborating with legal, recruitment, and operations departments.

Provider Contract Specialist Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent management of all physician and advanced practice provider offers of employment and agreements.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining all processes related to keeping Ntracts up to date with hires, terminations, and changes to existing contract arrangements.
  • Acquires Ntract database expertise and responds to requests for contracts.
  • Prepares Physician and Advanced Practice Provider employment and independent contractor agreements as requested.
  • Prepares Addendums and Amendments to Physician and Advanced Practice Provider contracts.
  • Responsible for the oversight and coordination of all provider contracts.
  • Drafts offer / welcome letters to candidates.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all documentation in support of contracts.
  • Engages relevant stakeholders in the negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards.
  • Responsible for developing and reporting on contract data in Ntracts to internal customers.
  • Responsible for working with legal keeping employment contracts up to date with Stark and Anti-kickback regulations.
  • Perform contract audits as needed in order to adhere to Stark and Anti-kickback regulations.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Assistant, or related field.
  • Five years’ relevant work experience.
  • Three years’ experience involving contract management.
  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare or similar field.
  • Three or more years of relevant contract management work experience with physician employment agreements.
