Full-time, exempt and seeking both experienced and new graduate Physician Assistants for the UHS Orthopedic Surgery Section. Focused, collaborative environment.

The Physician Assistant will provide health care services to patients under direction and responsibility of physician. Examine patient, perform comprehensive physical examination, and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Administer and order diagnostic test and interpret the test results for deviations from normal. Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, suturing and wound care, and managing infection. Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care. Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance. Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program. Current certificate of registration from the NCCPA. Must be certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS. Preferable characteristic is previous Orthopedics experience.
