Where will you launch your nursing career? UHS is currently accepting applications for graduate nurses to join our team! Recent or soon-to-be nursing graduates are invited to attend one of several online information sessions to learn more about nursing at UHS.

  • We are very pleased to announce a newly created opening for a second Nurse Educator!

  • Position Overview
    • Nurse Educators provide educational experiences that facilitate the promotion of competent nursing practice and quality resident care. They facilitate the general orientation for new employees,department orientation for all nursing employees and assist in their assimilation into a new role. Nurse Educators support nursing staff members in their efforts in knowledge and skill acquisition and professional development.
  • Position Requirements
    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or related field.
        • Three (3) years Nursing Practice experience in a clinical setting.
      • Preferred:
        • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
        • Previous teaching experience

    • License/Certification
      • Minimum Required:
        • Current New York State Registered Nurse License
        • CPR within 3 months of hire
      • Preferred:
        • Professional nursing certification in Professional Development
        • Professional certification in another nursing area
        • Certificates in other related field (i.e., CPR Instructor, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
        • Train the Trainer Certification
