Manager Patient Accounting

United Health Services is seeking a full-time Manager of Patient Accounting to coordinate business operations and compliance within its billing departments. The Manager of Patient Accounting position is located in Binghamton, New York. The successful candidate will join United Health Services’ Finance Division, which maintains best practices through automation and effective workflow design.

Manager of Patient Accounting Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations associated with United Health Services’ billing departments, which includes compliance with program regulations and ensuring targets and metrics are met
  • Coordinate the department’s work activities with internal stakeholders, including our coding and provider teams
  • Recommend solutions and make decisions that take into account the interests of our community and the potential for cost savings
  • Collaborate with all areas of patient care on charge capture and denial management

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Accounting, Finance, or related field
      • Experience with physician and hospital billing and reimbursement
      • Five years relevant experience in the healthcare industry in a leadership role

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with New York State Medicaid billing and reimbursement regulations and provider enrollment
  • Epic experience with Hospital and Professional Billing
