  • Position Overview
    • Responsible for the oversight, implementation, and maintenance of 3rd Party Applications. Responsible for managing a team of application analysts who manage these applications. Provides oversight and back up as necessary.
    • Develops implementation plans working collaboratively with 3rd Party Application Analysts, Business Owners, and Vendors. Develops expertise in assigned applications as well as business area workflows. Meets regularly with business owners and application analysts to share status, identify issues, and follow up on requests.
    • The 3rd party Application Manager is responsible for ensuring the applications meet user requirements, are functioning according to UHS standard. A key responsibility will be to work collaboratively with the IS Technical teams, IS Application teams, vendors, and operational business owner. Duties include: resolving or escalating issues; implementing change requests, participating in upgrade activities, and ensuring policies and procedures related to systems are followed.
  • Position Requirements
    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related healthcare field, required.
        • In the absence of a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years of clinical, healthcare operations, information technology or health information technology experience.
        • Minimum of two (2) years related healthcare IT experience including one (1) year of healthcare IT project management experience, required. Build/analyst project teams management experience required.
        • Proficient in MS Office especially in Work, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of clinical operational workflow and business needs across inpatient and ambulatory settings.
        • Experienced in all stages of project implementation, including design, development, workflow analysis, build, implementation, optimization, go-live, and post go-live support.
        • Experienced mentoring and leading implementation teams with an eye to integration to ensure workflow accuracy.
        • Candidate will have a proven track record of producing quality deliverables on time, taking ownership, and accountability of assignments and demonstrating. Knowledge of process redesign is required
