United Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Imaging Center in Vestal Parkway, NY. The Imaging Center is open 7am-5pm Monday through Friday.

Salary range: $27.61-$41.41/hour, depending on experience

CT Scan RN Position Overview

The Imaging Center, CT Scan Registered Nurse (Rn) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities through medical diagnostic imaging . The RN monitors and assesses the patient for any potential reactions and initiates appropriate interventions according to policy. The RN utilities knowledge of medication, procedures, infection control and safety precautions to deliver safe patient focused care. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services Hospitals and Nursing Division policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patients’ Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient–centered care.

CT Scan RN Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • The RN provides clinical leadership in the Radiology Areas.
  • Triages and assesses Patients for early identification of signs and symptoms to prevent complications and ensure timely intervention.
  • Performs IV Starts on patients requiring contrast CT scans.
  • Educates Patient and family n health promotion and disease management using available resources.
  • Demonstrate commitment to organizational Values of Compassion, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation

Position Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Current NY State RN License
  • At least 1 year of experience in health care setting with evidence of having obtained proficiency in those areas emphasized in the Registered Nurse curriculum.
  • Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in Diagnostic Imaging.
