Financial Analyst II, Binghamton

United Health Services is seeking a Financial Analyst II to join our Physician Financial Services Team in Vestal, NY. The Financial Analyst II supports the UHS Medical Group physicians and advanced practice providers. This is a BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE position.

Salary range: $21.18 - $31.78/hour, depending on experience


Financial Analyst II Overview

This position is responsible for the accurate and timely compensation calculations and payroll payments of all UHS Medical Group physicians and advanced practice providers, as well as the preparation and distribution of related statistical reports.

Financial Analyst II Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Prepares all calculations related to Physician and Advanced Practice Provider compensation, inclusive of base compensation, stipends, incentive payments, and administrative or clinical special payments
  • Prepares journal entries specific to provider compensation
  • Assures all providers are paid appropriately and accurately based on their employment contracts
  • Prepares and submits all provider payroll data to the appropriate departments for the processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis
  • Prepares provider-specific compensation modeling
  • Completes various annual provider benchmarking surveys
  • Maintains various reports related to provider statistics
  • Assists in special projects and activities as assigned
  • Performs all other duties that may be assigned by the Manager of Physician Financial Services and the Senior Director of Physician and Post-Acute Care Services

Position Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting discipline(s)
  • Familiarity with MS Office technology suite and other relevant financial applications


  • Healthcare experience
