Weekly hours:
  • Position Overview
    • Under general supervision, the EMS Technician - Advanced EMT Critical Care utilizes New York State Department of Health Basic and Advanced Life Support patient care protocols to provide high quality, safe and efficient emergency medical care to patients at assigned EMS coverage events.
  • Position Requirements
    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • High School diploma or Equivalent
        • One year of certification as an EMT/AEMT with at least 50 EMS calls as the in-charge EMS provider or crew chief on 911 ambulance service.
        • Ability to lift a 200 lb person from ground into an ambulance with assistance from one other lifting individual.
      • Preferred:
        • Not Applicable

    • License/Certification
      • Minimum Required:
        • New York State DOH AEMT-Critical Care certification
        • Credentialed as an Adv. EMT-CC within the EMS Region to practice as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician-Critical Care.
        • Possess a valid healthcare professional CPR certification (AHA, ARC, ASHI, etc.
