United Health Services Hospitals is looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to support the Medical Surgical departments and team members.

Operational responsibilities include supporting and coordinating patient, physician, employee and organizational requirements for effective and efficient day-to-day operations; maintaining a key leadership role within the Patient Care Services Division for defining and maintaining operating standards in support of organizational values, vision, mission, goals and objectives; and providing for cross divisional coordination of efforts in matters pertaining to day-to-day operations including staffing and determining the need for resource reallocation.

Nursing responsibilities include supervising, directing, and leading by supporting the mission of United Health Services Hospitals through the establishment of effective systems which ensure the optimal level of nursing care delivered to patients. In collaboration with Administrative Directors, Managers, Nurse Managers, and Physician Leaders performs budgeting, scheduling, educating, program development, and strategic planning for areas of responsibility, while continually monitoring quality of nursing services.

Master’s degree in Nursing or related health care field required along with five years of clinical nursing experience and two years of nursing management experience. New York State Registered Nurse license or eligible required; professional certification in Nursing Executive (NE-BC) or Nursing Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) or eligible preferred.
