  • Position Overview
    • Operations: Supports and coordinates patient, physician, employee and organizational requirements for effective and efficient day-to-day operations. Maintains a key leadership role within the Patient Care Services Division for defining and maintaining operating standards in support of organizational values, vision, mission, goals and objectives. Provides for cross divisional coordination of efforts in matters pertaining to day-to-day operations including staffing and determining the need for resource reallocation.
    • Nursing: Provides supervision, direction, and leadership in nursing by supporting the mission of UHS through the establishment of effective systems which ensure the optimal level of nursing care delivered to patients. In collaboration with Administrative Directors, Managers, Nurse Managers, and Physician Leaders performs budgeting, scheduling, educating, program development, and strategic planning for areas of responsibility, while continually monitoring quality of nursing services.

    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
        • Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
        • Two (2) years of nursing management experience
      • Preferred:
        • Not Applicable

    • License/Certification
      • Minimum Required:
        • New York State Registered Nurse License or eligible
      • Preferred:
        • Professional certification in Nursing Executive (NE-BC) or Nursing Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) or eligible
        • Master’s degree in health related field or Master’s in Nursing
