Position Overview

    • As a direct employee of Chenango Memorial Hospital, the Director of Strategic Initiatives uses their highly detail-oriented abilities to assist the CMH President/CEO and Senior Leaders with projects and initiatives, reporting and presenting department information and strategy updates to Providers, Leadership, and Board of Directors. The Director helps to establish objectives, policies, budgets, and procedures, as well as monitoring expenses and metrics.
    • The Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for assisting with developing, advancing, supporting, and leading the strategic planning process for UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital. The Director of Strategic Initiatives collaborates with all levels of CMH Leadership in and effort to implement a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) approach to identify meaningful initiatives designed to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

    • Serve as part of senior leadership team to provide project management of cross-functional teams to develop and implement initiatives that align with the overall strategic plan and balanced scorecard.
    • Analysis of relevant market data and historical data to assess business needs.
    • Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with all levels of leadership to ensure completion of projects across the organization.
    • Prepare data for presentations and reports to Executive Committees showcasing project progress, associated expenses, and such.

Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business, Planning, Finance, Analytics, or related discipline along with three years of relevant experience in a Strategic and/or Business Planning function and/or Analytics is required. Project Management Professional and/or Lean Six Sigma certification required. Master's Degree with emphasis in Business, Planning or Finance is preferred.
