  • Position Overview
    • The Unit Coordinator on this Intensive Care Unit (ICU) unit assists in the coordination of the daily operation of a unit. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Functions as a clinical resource and role model, monitors staff assignments and performance, identifies potential problems, participate in Quality Improvement activities, under the direction of the Nursing Manager and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, UHS and the Nursing Division Policies and Philosophy.
  • Position Requirements
    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
      • Preferred:
        • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing
        • Two (2) years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
        • Previous Charge Nurse experience

    • License/Certification
      • Minimum Required:
        • Current New York State Registered Nurse License
        • CPR certification within 3 months of hire
      • Preferred:
        • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
        • Relevant skills certification NRP
