Coordinator Marketing and Communications, Binghamton

United Health Services is seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our Community Relations Team in Binghamton, NY. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports the Community Relations Department with all marketing, communications, and digital marketing efforts. This is a BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE position.

Salary range: $25.85 - $38.79/hour, depending on experience


Coordinator Marketing and Communications Overview

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for writing, and the development of, marketing materials including news articles, website copy, and press releases, the coordinator will work with the team to place a copy across digital platforms and will be involved with tracking and reporting on analytics.

Coordinator Marketing and Communications Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Designs marketing and promotional materials for the company ensuring that all materials are aligned with company’s brand identity.
  • Identifies and coordinates marketing collateral with other system members.
  • Develops and distributes print and online marketing materials including the UHS Stay Healthy Magazine. Manage Stay Healthy Magazine in print, digital, e-newsletter and e-blast.
  • Works as a writer/editor and provides content to UHS Intranet and website.
  • Coordinate internal and external promotional events including open houses, and community events.
  • Researches ways to reach a wider consumer base, either online or in print.
  • Working with the Director of Marketing and Public Relations will also serves as point of contact for media inquiries.
  • As a media liaison prepares employees for media appearances and interviews. Work with management on sensitive patient/media issues.

Position Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or healthcare administration.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in healthcare marketing capacity or related position in business or industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers in all aspects of marketing, including digital advertising, research, media planning, public relations and writing.
  • Experience with writing news articles, press releases and website copy.


  • Master’s degree in hospital or business administration or related specialty.
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in the healthcare industry.
