The Clinical Director of Emergency-Psychiatric Services provides leadership, direction, program planning and clinical expertise to the Emergency Department at BGH, CPEP and EOB. Facilitates the effective and efficient delivery of Nursing Services through the management of resource allocation and planning mechanisms in line management and staff capacities. In collaboration with Nursing Leadership and the Medical Directors from said units and other departments as required, directs quality improvement projects, patient care referral activity, budgeting, education, program development, strategic planning activities and marketing/networking. Develops and implements care models and programs that results in patient care outcomes exceeding established benchmarks. Implements best practices and programs to prevent hospital acquired conditions in addition to ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations. Works collaboratively within the Ambulatory Care Center to identify opportunities to streamline care delivery.

Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree, quality management and performance improvement experience, previous management experience, and eight (8) years of progressively responsible relevant clinical experience or MBA with 2-3 years of progressively responsible relevant clinical experience required.

MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field preferred.
